As part of the visit of the delegation led by the Tashkent province governor Zoyir Mirzaev and the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Russia Botir Asadov to Bashkortostan, the parties discussed ways to expand cooperation between the provinces, and unveiled one of the main joint projects: the Uzbekistan-Bashkir technopark project in Bekabad district.
According to the Dunyo news agency, the governor Zoyir Mirzaev met with the president of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov and explored ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation and to expedite ongoing and planned joint projects.
Reportedly, the Uzbekistan-Bashkir technopark projects is due to be launched in in the spring of 2026.
As part of the talks, the parties considered the plan to set up an apitherapy center in Tashkent province with the participation of the Bashkortostan Research Center for Beekeeping.
Furthermore, Uzbek investors are planning to implement a large-scale livestock project in the Igli district of Bashkortostan, and to build a hotel in Ufa. The parties pondered on the possibility of localizing the production of household appliances in Bashkortostan.
According to Russian media, a Bashkortostan business delegation will attend the INNOPROM. Central Asia international conference in Tashkent in April this year.
Bashkortostan is a Republic of Russia between the Volga river and the Ural Mountains in Eastern Europe.
