The Central Election Commission, having examined the documents presented by the political parties, has adopted the Presidential candidates registration Decision, which allows the candidates to start campaigning. 

Pursuant to the Article 28 of the Law "On elections of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan" the election campaign shall begin from the date of candidates registration.

The candidates shall have the equal right to use the media within the procedure prescribed by the Central Election Commission.

Taking into account the proposals of the political parties, the candidates will each be provided with free  airtime, in particular, 638 minutes on Uzbekistan and Yoshlar channels, 206 minutes on 12 local TV and radio channels of the National TV and Radio Company,  286 minutes on Tashkent channel to to present their campaign and party platform to voters.

The candidates are also provided with free 6 pages in Xalq so’zi, Narodnoye slovo and Pravde Vostoka newspapers, 5 pages in Ovozi Tojik and Nurly Zhol newspapers, as well as 30 pages in local newspapers - a total of 55.5 pages. In the regions a total of 642 outdoor advertising stands, special structures, screens, billboards will be made available for each candidate, as well as 36 e-monitors across the country for free placement of campaign ads.

However this does not apply to the parties’ own press, where they may publish materials in any amount.
