On February 13, the president Shavkat Mirziyoyev approved amendments to the Labor Code on the procedure for calculating average wages and the duration of unpaid leave.
The amendments have also outlined rules for the execution of electronic employment contracts through the Unified National Labor System (UNLS).
In addition, a ban to sack due to pregnancy or the presence of children has also been adopted. Previously, it was prohibited to refuse employment or reduce wages for these reasons (Article 392 of the Labor Code).
Amendments are being inserted in the Education Law that clarify the list of educational organizations that have the right to conduct training for employees in evenings or online.
For civil servants, the labor relations shall regulated by labor legislation in those parts that are not covered by the State Civil Service Law.
When applying for a job, it will no longer be necessary to provide a passport, ID card or work book - the data will be transmitted electronically thanks to the integration of governmental information systems.
At the end of December, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the procedure for entering into e-employment contracts. Now they will be drawn up in the ENST system, and then certified by an electronic digital signature of both parties.
