A young man living in Fergana city killed a woman, the mother of three minors, living in the Beshbola neighborhood of the city, the press service of the Interior Ministry said.
According to court case, the 29-year-old man, addicted to online gambling, got into debt. Then he committed a burglary in a house in the Beshbola neighborhood, which is adjacent to the neighborhood where he lives in Fergana city.
He first entered empty rooms and looked for money. When he couldn’t find anything, he came to the door of the room where the owner of the house was sleeping with his three children.
At that moment, the woman accidentally went outside and saw the thief. Seeing a stranger wearing a mask at her door, the woman screamed, and her children woke up.
The woman went inside and tried to close the door from the inside. Then the young man entered the room, stabbed the woman in front of three children, and fled the scene. The woman died from serious injuries. As a result of the swift operation, the man was soon arrested.
At a court hearing at the Fergana city criminal court, the young man was found guilty and was sentenced to 17 years in prison.
