The director of Ezgulik human rights society, Abdurakhmon Tashanov said he had been under increasing pressure. In particular, on January 26, when he was flying to India, his passport was taken and he had been held for more than an hour at Tashkent International Airport, and he was allegedly abused" he wrote on his Facebook channel.

"I flew to Delhi in a very bad mood. At the airport, they took away my stuff, took my passport and held me for more than an hour. They stripped me to my pants and searched me to the groin. They treated me with extreme abuse. I don't even know who to complain to”.

"I felt embarrassed on the faces of the airport officers. "Brother, we know who you are, but we have been told to do so. After such abuse, I wanted to turn back, but my partner turned me away. This is a disgrace."

"Being a human rights activist, I felt helpless in front of disgraceful people, defending the rights of others. My health has deteriorated, I was discharged from the hospital last week. Damn it!”

Abdurakhmon Tashanov wrote on January 24 that he detected alternative session attempt from elsewhere on his Facebook page.

Tashanov also wrote on January 22 that there were people trying to collect compromising information about him and that he has received several letters in this regard.

He wrote that he now intends to appeal to the president as a last resort.

“I have never appealed to the president during my career, I am now preparing, because this appeal is the last resort. "If this does not work, the picture of the situation will be completely clear," he said.
