ChatGPT was the fourth most visited website in Uzbekistan last December. According to SEMrush, the platform's traffic from Uzbekistan reaching 42.73 million visits record an increase by 6,261,948.5% in a year. Most of the traffic was direct, which indicates a high level of recognition of the platform, notes AI expert Khikmat Pulatov.

The government launched initiatives aimed at integrating artificial intelligence into the economy, education, and governmental services.

The President Mirziyoyev approved an AI Development Strategy with the following goals:

  • increasing the size of AI market to $ 1.5 billion;
  • implementation of AI in 10% of governmental services on the Governmental services portal;
  • setting up 10 research laboratories and powerful computing centers;
  • joining the top 50 countries in terms of AI implementation.

According to Hikmat Pulatov, the implementation of this strategy will not only strengthen the local IT industry, but also improve the quality of Governmental services, reducing the human factor and the risk of errors.

The Ministry of Digital Technologies is actively implementing AI in key areas such as healthcare, agriculture and transport. For example, in the agricultural sector, technologies help to predict crop yields and rationally use resources, which is especially important for the country's economy.

Successful examples of AI implementation are government projects:

DAVRON is a chatbot for tax consultations developed by the State Tax Committee;

LexAI is an assistant for legal consultations and searching for legislative acts, created by the Ministry of Justice.

These tools make government services more accessible and convenient for individuals, minimizing bureaucracy and red tape.

As part of its cooperation with the UAE, Uzbekistan is implementing a project to train 1 million specialists in prompt engineering — the ability to formulate queries for interaction with AI.

Hikmat Pulatov highlights three main aspects of this program:

1. Personnel training: AI skills will be in demand both within the country and abroad.

2. Digital literacy: mass training in AI technologies will be a turning point for the economy and the public.

3. Competitiveness: the country will improve its position in the global technology race.

“Artificial intelligence is no longer just a trend, but a real tool that is changing the world. Uzbekistan demonstrates how its potential can be used to improve people's lives and develop the economy,” concluded Hikmat Pulatov.
