President Shavkat Mirziyoyev landed in Astana, Kazakhstan on a state visit, the Uzbek president’s press service said. At the Astana International airport, he was welcomed by President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
Tomorrow, the first meeting of the Supreme Interstate Council will take place under the chair of the leaders of the two countries.
During the talks, the parties are expected to discuss the ways to deepen the Uzbek-Kazakh strategic partnership and alliance ties, and to expand cooperation in the political, trade and economic, investment, transport and communications, energy, agricultural and cultural and humanitarian areas.
As per the program, Shavkat Mirziyoyev will attend the Central Asia Summit and the meeting of the Central Asia + Japan Dialogue.
