The district mayor’s office reported no casualties. A working group was formed that began studying the causes of the incident.
In February, in the Mubarek district of Kashkadarya, a collapse also occurred when a truck was driving across a bridge over a canal where traffic was restricted. The bridge is scheduled to be restored in the second quarter of the year.
At the end of March, during heavy rains in the Urgut district of the Samarkand province and the Kitab district of Kashkadarya, bridges were destroyed due to rising water levels in the rivers. Both bridges have been restored.
