On March 23, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a telephone conversation with Vladimir Putin, the Uzbek Presidency press service reported.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev expressed deep condolences to the people of Russia over the numerous casualties as a result of the terrorist attack in the Crocus City Hall in the Moscow region, the statement said.
On behalf of the people of Uzbekistan, the President Shavkat Mirziyoyev conveyed words of support to the families of the victims and wishes for a swift recovery to all those injured. He emphasized the strong condemnation of this crime against innocent people.
The president of Russia thanked the President of Uzbekistan for his words of support and willingness to provide the necessary assistance.
The heads of state reportedly reached an agreement to step up bilateral cooperation to combat the security threat to the and sustainable development risks for the two countries.
