Odilkhon Rustamov has been appointed as new mayor of Tashkent's Shaykhantahur district, replacing Oybek Mirtemirov, the mayor's office said in a statement. Since 2016 until recently he was the head of UzbekOziqOvqatHolding (Uzbek Food Holding).
Odilhon Rustamov (49 years old) is a graduate of the Tashkent Technical University. Since 1993 he worked in tax authorities. In 2001-2005 he headed the tax inspectorates of Chilanzar and Uchtepa districts of Tashkent.
In 2005-2009 he was deputy head of the Tax Officec of Tashkent city, Khorezm and Jizzakh provinces. From 2009 to 2016 he worked as Deputy Chairman of the Uzbek Tax Committee.
