President of Uzbekistan signed Tuesday the Measures to Fundamentally Improve the Work of Police In the Field of Migration and Citizenship Decree.
The document instructs relevant bodies in a month's time to submit feasible proposals on introduction of an international passport, providing for concrete stages, terms, technical conditions and cost.
In the framework of Uzbekistan Development Strategy for 2017-2021, the Uzbek authorities had plans to introduce internal and international passports, cancel exit visas (commonly known as sticker) for overseas travels.
