On July 18, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed amendments providing tax breaks to football clubs, the Ministry of Justice said on Wednesday.
According to the amendments to Article 483 of the Tax Code (temporary tax breaks), from January 1, 2023 to January 1, 2026, the Uzbekistan Football Association, its provincial divisions, the Professional Football League, the Center for Football Referees, professional football clubs and academies will be relieved from paying all types of taxes (with the exception of social tax), personal income tax for attracted foreign football players and specialists.
In addition, they are relieved from paying VAT on the import of sports equipment and technologies, inventory, all devices and equipment intended for broadcasting, pharmacological products, sports nutrition, artificial turf for football (futsal) fields, shockpad, granules, special glue and professional sports equipment. equipment, special equipment and vehicles not produced in Uzbekistan, necessary to strengthen the material and technical base of football sports facilities.
