President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on July 5 dismissed Vahid Ismailov from the post of chief of the Uzbek Agency for Automobile and River Transport (UzAART) "due to his being transferred to another position".
A day earlier, at a government meeting devoted to half-year economic results, the President pointed to the need for a fundamental review of the agency's activities and to Ismailov's misfitness to the position.
Vakhid Ismailov was appointed as head of UzAART in 2013.
