On May 31, the Uzbek Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov received the visiting Junior Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Ivan Jancarek, who arrived in Uzbekistan for inter-MFA political consultations, bilateral meetings in the Senate, Ministry of Foreign Trade, Committee for Investments and is expected to visit Khorezm province.
According to the Uzbek Foreign Ministry, during the meeting, the sides discussed the state and prospects for advancing Uzbek-Czech cooperation in the political, trade-economic, transport-communication, cultural, humanitarian and other areas, as well as contacts in the international arena, including in the Uzbekistan-EU cooperation framework.
The sides exchanged views on prospects of intensifying of the Uzbek-Czech contacts in the context of the exchange of messages between the Presidents of Uzbekistan and the Czech Republic, the date of the next meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic, Industrial and Scientific-Technical Cooperation, the schedule of other bilateral events.
On the same day, the Foreign Ministry hosted the sixth round of Uzbek-Czech political consultations, which touched upon a number of matters on the bilateral agenda, as well as international and regional issues.
In the events was also present the Ambassador of the Czech Republic Jaroslaw Siro.
