Uzbekistan and the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) signed a Partnership Strategy for 2018-2021, which provides for allocation of US$ 1.3 billion credit line, it was announced today in Tashkent at the conference entitled IDB Group Day.

The document was inked by the Uzbek Deputy PM/ Investments Committee Chairman, Sukhrob Kholmuradov and the visiting IDB President, Bandar Al Hajjar.

Bandar Al Hajjar told that the bank was ready to support Uzbekistan in implementing development and social projects.

According to the IDB, the bank will provide US$ 475 million for energy, transport and urban development projects, US$ 300 million for rural housing, US$ 140 million for other social projects and US$ 85 million for SMEs.
