For the first time aeromagnetic geological surveying of gold and tungsten deposits using a special aircraft was conducted in Uzbekistan, the State Geology Committee said.

Overflights of territories on a special plane took place from August 16 to September 6. On board were 10 Uzbek geologists, who were assisted by 12 Turkish experts. In total, they flew around 15 thousand linear meters in Navoi and Jizzakh provinces.

Such airborne geophysical surveying allows exploring vast territories. As a result, it is possible to find promising deposits, the Committee added.

Earlier on February 13, 2019 of the visit of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Ankara, the State Committee of Uzbekistan for Geology and the Geological Survey Authority of Turkey signed a cooperation agreement.
