In January-September, Uzbekistan's international trade was at $48.2 billion, which is by $3.45 billion, or 7.7%, more than in the same period of 2023, the Agency of Statistics said in a report.

In September, the country' international trade reached $5.5 billion, which is 16.9% more than in September 2023. Exports last month rose to $2.43 billion (+86%), while imports declined to $3.07 billion (-9.7%).

Nine-month exports, including gold, increased by 11.5% to $19.8 billion, imports to $28.4 billion (+5.2%). At the same time, exports excluding non-monetary gold are growing faster, increasing by 15.5% to $13.98 billion.

Gold exports year-to-date have reached $5.79 billion, which is 2.8% more than the same period in 2023 ($5.64 billion). In May, the gold exports reached $771.9 million, in April - $758.3 million, in March - $1.35 billion, in February - $1.32 billion. There were no exports in June and July, but in August, sales volume stood at $792.6 million.

In September, gold exports topped $806.1 million. The share of gold in the country's total exports decreased from 31.8% (in January-September 2023) to 29.3%. Its physical volume in gold and foreign reserves also decreased slightly, although the value of gold reserves increased significantly against the backdrop of rising quotations, which is a historic high.
