President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the city of Kokand during his Fergana Valley trip. The head of state arrived to Kokand from Margilan on an electrified train.
President familiarized himself with several projects at LLC Shaffof Methane Sanoat in the city of Kokand.
Shaffof Methane Sanoat LLC plans to create a modern enterprise for production of cylinders for compressed and liquefied gas in Kokand city. To this end, modern equipment will be installed in the empty buildings of the former KukonMachinery plant, production of 100,000 pieces of gas cylinders per year. The enterprise is expected to create 30 jobs.
Modern medical equipment of General Electric (USA) will be installed at a new center of medical services and inpatient treatment. The center is designed to provide treatment for 25,500 patients and hold 500 surgical operations per year.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with a project for production of finished leather with polyurethane coating at Imano Group, whose completion will create 250 jobs.
In accordance with the Presidential Decree "On creating of Urgut, Gijduvan, Kokand and Khazarasp free economic zones of January 12, 2017, a free economic zone is being built in Kokand city. Information was provided on the projects planned for implementation in this FEZ. According to the plan, there will be established enterprises for the production of textile, food, furniture, printing, leather and footwear products and building materials, engineering, electrical engineering and pharmaceuticals.
