Tashkent’s International Business Center hosts the Uzbekistan-U.S. business forum, the Uzbek Chamber of Commerce said.

UzbekOziqOvqatHolding (transl. Uzbek Food Products Holding) and BelGosPischeProm group (Belarus) signed a Memorandum of Cooperation.

During the visit of the representatives of UzSanoatEksport and UzTadbirkorEksport in Kiev an agreement has been signed for the sale of 30 thousand tons of ammonium nitrate and 30 thousand tons of carbamide worth $ 7.05 million. The signing ceremony was held at the Uzbek Embassy to Ukraine.

AkhangaranCement in 2016 produced 1.863 million tons of cement, a 5.2% increase compared to 2015. The company last year also produced over 1.344 million tons of clinker, which is by 4.9% more than in 2015.

For the first time since 2010 the lint cotton has been listed for export at UZEX. The seller is UzPahtaSanoat (trans.- UzCottonIndustry, state-run company) and its regional branches, the UZEX press service said.

Innovative technoparks could be established in Tashkent's Yashnabad and Almazar districts. A draft presidential decree, developed by the Ministry of Economy to this end has been published on the portal of online public services.

The Russian Lukoil is preparing to launch its first filling station in Uzbekistan along Temur Malik street of Tashkent’s Yashnabad district. The construction works are in their final stage.

On January 10 in the conference hall of Uzbekistan hotel was held a round table with participation of representatives of government bodies, hotels, travel companies of Tashkent city, Tashkent and Syrdarya regions.

At the Uzbek Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations, Investments and Trade were held talks with Director General for Caucasus, Central Asia and Eastern Europe of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkey, Şefik Vural Altay.

Four pharmaceutical industrial zones (PIZ) could be created in Uzbekistan. A draft Presidential Decree on this was published on the government portal for discussion.
