Five projects for manufacturing of children's toys will be combined into a cluster to be hosted by the empty facilities of the former TashIgrushka (transl. Tashkent Toy) plant located on an area of 12,000 sq. m.

The US$23 million worth cluster will manufacture 700 kinds of plastic, soft, early development, mechanical, remote controlled and other toys and accessories.

The 7 million pieces of toys per year design capacity plant will send 80% of produce to exports, with 950 jobs created.

The cluster setting up and investors attraction processes are being overseen by the National Bank.

As previously reported, the issue of creating a children's toys manufacturing technopark in Tashkent’s Almazar district was negotiated in August at a meeting of officials of the Committee for Investments with Chinese investors.

One of the actors of the cluster is the newly created Uzbek-Chinese JV Tashkent Sanhe Toy. Every year the plant is designed to produce 2.2 million soft and plush toys, with about 450 jobs created. Commissioning of the plant is scheduled for March 2018.
