UzTrade within the Ministry of Foreign Trade (MFT) inaugurated a trading house in New Delhi in a view to boost Uzbekistan's exports in the Indian market, the MFT said. The trading house will host a showroom of goods of Uzbek manufacturers.

Strengthening of trade and economic cooperation, and improving the system of goods supplies were among the main topics of the Uzbekistan-India business forum co-organized with India-CIS Chamber of Commerce and Industry held in New Delhi yesterday.

The Uzbekistan delegation, led by Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov and Foreign Trade Minister Elyor Ganiev, held talks with executives of Indian companies on increasing exports of Uzbek products.

As a result, UzTrade has signed $ 30 million worth of preliminary deals for supply of legumes, licorice root, textile and other products from Uzbekistan.
