The CIS observers mission stated that Uzbekistan Presidential elections held on December 4 were free, transparent and competitive.

The observation mission of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization has recognized that Uzbekistan presidential election held on December 4 were open, free and democratic.

At 20:00 voting in 9383 polling stations in the country and 44 stations abroad for the Uzbekistan Presidential Election was finished.

In line with the Uzbekistan Election Law starting from 00:00 AM on December 3 the pre-election campaign shall be stopped and the Day of silence shall come into force, thus today and tomorrow which is the polling day, it is prohibited to hold campaigning in media and through other forms of advertising.

Frederick Starr, the chairman of the Institute of Central Asia and the Caucasus at Johns Hopkins University (USA), is currently in Uzbekistan among many international observers for presidential elections to be held on December 4.

On December 1, the Director of the Political Department of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Ali Abolhassani Shahreza arrived in Tashkent to perform his duties as the head of the OIC observation mission in the upcoming Presidential election.

Following numerous requests from citizens to the Prime Minister’s virtual reception, the Unified public  services online portal (UPSOP) abolished the requirement to login with a electronic digital signature (EDS) when submitting letters to government bodies, this was announced by press service of the Uzbek Ministry for Development of Information Technologies and Communications.
