Staff of the Consulate General of Uzbekistan met with Dr. Nadiya Ibrahim Bukhari, professor of Umm-ul Qur’a University in Mecca, the Dunyo reported.

During the meeting, the Uzbek officials briefed about the reforms in the field of education and science in Uzbekistan, the establishment of scientific institutions such as the Islamic Civilization Center, Imam Bukhari Research Center, Hadith School in Uzbekistan in the last 6 years.

Nadiya Ibrahim Bukhari emphasized that Uzbekistan is the country of great thinkers and scholars such as Imam Bukhari, Imam Termuzi, Mahmud Zamakhshari, Bin Sina and Abu Reyhan Beruni. She also remembered his trip to Uzbekistan, the land of her ancestors.

At the meeting, Nadiya Bukhari presented to the consulate general more than 350 books on various fields of science, which she had collected for many years, requesting them to be delivered to the scientific institutions of Uzbekistan.

These unique literatures, which will be presented to the Arabic language center established at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, the Islamic Civilization Center, the Imam Bukhari Research Center in Samarkand, and the School of Hadith Science, will be delivered to Uzbekistan in the coming days.
