Uzbek Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov today hosted the newly appointed Ambassador of Norway stationed in Oslo, Ole Johan Bjørnøy, the ministry reported.
Accepting the credentials of the Ambassador, the Minister Kamilov congratulated him on his appointment to Uzbekistan and wished successes at his responsible tenure.
The sides reportedly exchanged views on key issues on the Uzbek-Norwegian agenda and spoke in favor of regularizing the inter-ministerial consultations, which allow setting and coordinating perspective areas for cooperation.
The sides also expressed interest in increasing mutual trade turnover through strengthening and expanding economic and investment ties, and discussed cooperation within the framework of the UN, OSCE, as well as the situation in Afghanistan
