A court has sentenced a 29-year-old woman to 13 years and four months in prison for stabbing her partner's wife and the woman’s two young daughters in the town of Shirin, killing two of them, the Millar program reported.
The Shirin city court for criminal cases found the defendant, identified only as N.Kh., guilty of intentional murder and attempted intentional murder. Applying Article 57 of the Criminal Code, it ordered her to serve the term in a general-regime penal colony. The report did not say when the verdict was issued.
Reportedly, N.Kh. took a kitchen knife from her home on April 29, 2026, and went to the residence of the man she lived with. She stabbed his lawful wife nine times, their 5-year-old daughter twice and their 3-year-old daughter once. The woman and the 5-year-old died. The 3-year-old suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital.
N.Kh. had lived with the man for six years in a religious marriage. She quarreled constantly with him because his legally married wife had children while she had not been permitted to have any.
