The second freight train under the Slavic Caravan project departed the Orsha-Vostochnaya station on August 3, 2026, traveling along the Belarus–Russia–Kazakhstan–Uzbekistan route, the Uztemiryulcontainer said in a statement.
The cargo includes wood-processing and food industry products, alongside high-value-added manufactured goods. A portion of the freight will transit through Uzbekistan for final delivery to Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. The train is scheduled to complete the nearly 4,000-kilometer journey in just seven days, establishing a fast and highly efficient logistics corridor for export-import operations between Belarus and Central Asian nations.
According to the Belarusian Railway press service, the total cargo volume weighs approximately 4,000 tons. Meanwhile, the inaugural train of the project, which departed on July 30, has already covered nearly 2,500 kilometers of the route and is currently transiting through Kazakhstan.
Belarusian Railway officials emphasized that this project unlocks critical new opportunities for exporters of food, chemicals, construction materials, processed wood, and machinery. Furthermore, it serves to broaden market access to Central and South Asian economies by leveraging Uzbekistan's strategic positioning as a regional transit hub.
The rollout of the Slavic Caravan project directly implements bilateral agreements reached in Minsk during the official visit of the President of Uzbekistan on July 8–9.
