Uzhydromet has released the weather forecast for Monday, July 20. As predicted, the extreme heatwave will persist.
In Tashkent, skies will be mostly clear with no precipitation expected. An easterly wind will blow at 3–8 meters per second, potentially gusting up to 12–15 meters per second and causing localized dust storms. Temperatures will range from a nighttime low of 27–29°C to a daytime high of 41–43°C.
An intense heatwave originating from the south has gripped the country since July 13. This influx of scorching southern air will continue to sweep across Uzbekistan through July 20. However, relief is on the horizon, as the extreme heat is expected to recede nationwide starting July 21.
