Gas cylinder exploded inside a moving vehicle in the Kashkadarya province, according to a statement from the provincial Emergency Situations Department.
The incident occurred on the morning of July 8 on the A-380 "Karshi–Bukhara" highway, passing through the Quruvchilar neighborhood in the Muborak district.
The explosion happened while a 54-year-old driver, identified as J.J., was driving a Nexia vehicle from the city of Karshi toward the Bukhara province. One person inside the car died at the scene, and two others sustained various injuries and were hospitalized.
The Muborak District Internal Affairs Department is currently investigating the incident.
A similar incident occurred recently in Kashkadarya, where a parked Damas van exploded on the street.
