A new speed limit has been introduced for passenger cars on the Kamchik Pass, reducing the allowed speed to 80 km/h from the previous 100 km/h, the press service of the Kamchik Special Rescue Department.

The speed limit for cargo trucks remains unchanged, keeping their maximum allowed speed at 50 km/h. Authorities have warned drivers that enforcement has been ramped up across the pass using automated photo and video traffic cameras. Speeding violations will trigger fines and result in penalty points on drivers' licenses.

Additionally, residents of Uzbekistan have been warned about heavy rainfall and potential mountain hazards from July 8 to 13, with mudslide risks persisting in several provinces.
