The Ministry of Preschool and School Education has stepped in to investigate an incident at a private kindergarten in Tashkent, where a teacher was filmed mistreating children. The ministry's press service released an official statement confirming that the situation is under their direct oversight.
The intervention follows widespread public outrage triggered by videos circulating on social media from the Rayyona Kids private preschool. The footage shows staff members physically abusing and intimidating children; in one instance, a teacher stuffs a piece of cloth into a child's mouth, and in another, a child's hand is intentionally slammed in a door.
"Every detail of this incident will be thoroughly investigated. All preschool employees responsible for this misconduct and who violated professional ethics will face legal consequences to the fullest extent of the law," the ministry stated.
The ministry also made it clear that strict administrative action will be taken against any preschool failing to meet licensing standards or permitting such abuse, up to and including the permanent revocation of their operating licenses.
A joint working group, which includes law enforcement officials, has been established to investigate the matter.
