Law enforcement agencies have halted the distribution of illegal, uncertified, and expired pharmaceuticals valued at approximately 900 million soums following a series of coordinated sting operations across the Namangan province and the city of Tashkent.

In the Namangan province, investigators from the Yangikurgan District Branch of the Department for Combating Economic Crimes under the Prosecutor General’s Office targeted a local pharmacy in the Yangiobod neighborhood. The raid revealed that B.Yu., the director of the firm "I.Sh.", had put 1,011 different types of medication up for sale without any documentation verifying their quality or origin. The undocumented stock, valued at 452 million soums, was confiscated on-site as material evidence.

Concurrently, a joint operation by the Sergeli District Branch of the Department and partnering law enforcement agencies disrupted a high-stakes illegal sale in Tashkent's Yangihayot district. Authorities caught M.Sh., the director of "Y.Ph.", red-handed while selling a specialized medication named "Tecentriq" for $9,150 without a required doctor's prescription. A subsequent sweep of the pharmacy turned up an additional 41 types of uncertified and expired medicines valued at 309.3 million soums, all of which were seized.

In a third related sweep, investigators inspected a pharmaceutical packaging facility run by the executives of "Ph.P.". The search uncovered a stockpile of 100 different types of medications with a combined market value of 139.4 million soums. None of the seized batches were registered in the state database, and many lacked certificates of conformity or had already expired.

Criminal cases have been formally initiated under Article 186-3 of the Criminal Code, which penalizes the production, storage, transport, or sale of substandard or counterfeit medicines. Comprehensive investigations into all three corporate entities remain active and ongoing.
