Russia’s agricultural watchdog, Rosselkhoznadzor, has imposed temporary import restrictions on fruits and vegetables from 10 Uzbek exporters identified as the "most frequent violators" of phytosanitary regulations. The ban takes effect on May 30.

The blacklisted Uzbek enterprises include the following companies: Exporia Trade, Glow Fruit, Sardobaagroeksport, Buxoro Meva Sabzovotchilik Exporti, Gani Bobo Bogi, Bmb Global Savdo, New Agroquva, Amir Grens, Zamora, and Mirfayz-Parfyum Invest.

According to the regulator, the decision was made to "ensure phytosanitary safety" within Russia following repeated "instances of non-compliance" in agricultural shipments imported from Uzbekistan.
