Uzbekistan is bracing for an exceptionally hot weekend, with temperatures in some regions soaring close to 40°C (104°F), Uzhydromet reported.
Tashkent will see dry conditions on May 15 and 16, though a brief light shower or thunderstorm may develop late Saturday evening. Temperatures in the capital will range between 32°C and 34°C (90°F–93°F). Dry weather continues into May 17, with temperatures climbing further to 34°C–36°C (93°F–97°F).
An easterly wind will blow at 3–8 m/s, potentially gusting up to 10–12 m/s on May 16, which may cause low-level blowing dust in parts of the city.
