Starting from three months from now, bank customers in Uzbekistan will be able to withdraw up to $500 in foreign currency cash without presenting identification — no passport, national ID card, or equivalent document will be required. The regulatory measure, developed at the initiative of the Ministry of Justice, was officially registered on 8 May 2026.

Under the current rules, the threshold for ID-free cash withdrawals stands at just $100. The new regulation raises that limit fivefold, significantly easing the process for everyday banking customers.

The change will take effect in three months.
