On November 3, a 34-year-old man stabbed his 27-year-old wife and 2-year-old daughter with a kitchen knife to death in Uzbekistan district of Fergana province, the General Prosecutor's Offices said. Reportedly, the stabbings occurred during a conflict due to the man's failure to pay alimony.
After committing the crime, the suspect fled. A criminal case was opened under Premeditated homicide of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan, with the man now detained.
The General Prosecutor's Office clarified that the woman was living in her parents' house.
The suspect had repeatedly received warnings to pay alimony. He was also restricted from traveling abroad.
As of October 1st, the amount of debt has reached 8.3 million soums. Due to non-payment, the court sentenced him to 15-day arrest. According to the latest data, the man owed approximately 10.5 million soums.
