The US President Donald Trump offered invitations to the President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the heads of other Central Asian states for the C5+1 (Central Asia + USA) Summit in Washington on November 6, the Administration of the President of Uzbekistan said.

Earlier on October 25, the President Trump’s Special Envoy for South and Central Asia Sergio Gor and Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Christopher Landau landed in Tashkent.

The US Embassy press service said that Special Envoy Gor and Deputy State Secretary Landau here in Tashkent will discuss trade and investment in critical minerals and energy, and regional C5+1 partnerships.

Upon arrival, they met with executives of US companies in the country to discuss "numerous opportunities to promote shared prosperity."

Accompanied by Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov and US Ambassador Jonathan Henick, they also visited sights in Tashkent and Samarkand.

This will be the second edition of the C5+1 Summit while the first took place in New York in September 2023.
