The Tashkent's elevated subway ring line will resume service on November 1, the Tashkent Subway’s press service said today.

Subway service on the 14-station Tekhnopark-Kipchak section was temporarily suspended for scheduled maintenance. Based on international experience, preventive checks and repairs were required after a certain period of operation of elevated ramps and stations to ensure safe train operation and high service quality.

As part of these steps, extensive checks were conducted on the elevated subway ring line, with identified deficiencies rectified. Specifically, the tracks were leveled, worn sleepers were replaced, the drainage system was inspected, and the crushed stone ballast was tested. All of these measures were reportedly aimed at ensuring passenger safety and reliability.

As previously reported, the line could resume service around October 18. However, to ensure the testing process is completed efficiently, as well as to double train speeds and minimize wait times, the line is expected to open around November 1 of this year.

Trains are currently operating on this line in test mode (without passengers). Once testing is successfully completed and technical parameters are fully confirmed, the line will resume normal service.
