The Embassy of India in Tashkent successfully organised the Viksit Bharat Run 2025 on 28 September 2025 as a celebration of service, fitness, and sustainability. The run in Tashkent drew enthusiastic participation from the Indian diaspora and friends of India. 170 runners and 20 volunteers joined hands including members from the ‘Tashkent City Runners group’ and Cricket Federation of Uzbekistan (CFU).
Addressing the participants, Ambassador Smita Pant emphasized that this run carried a strong message of unity, resilience, development and shared responsibility. She also spoke on the progress India and Uzbekistan have achieved in areas such as healthcare, technology, education, and sustainability. The event celebrated the ideals of health, spirit of service, inclusivity, and environmental responsibility.
The Viksit Bharat Run 2025 is an initiative that focuses on India’s development journey. Organized in over 150 cities globally, this aims at engaging youth, communities, and the Indian diaspora through runs and events that promote service, self-reliance, foster unity and collective participation.
