The MPs of the Legislative Chamber passed in second reading a bill improving environmental protection, including protection of flora and fauna Tuesday, the press service of the lower house of parliament said.
Specifically, it has proposed penalties for illegal providing of forest lands and the construction of buildings and structures on them, for the unauthorized concreting of land plots with soil and green cover adjacent to apartment buildings, and for the installation of devices and structures on these plots.
The passing of the bill is expected to improve the environmental situation.
The bill has been submitted to the Senate for review.
