As of September 23, the power generated by solar and wind power plants in Uzbekistan in 2025 reached 8 billion kWh by 12 PV and 5 wind plants with a total capacity of 4,682 megawatts.
This helped to save 2.4 BCM natural gas, with potential 3 million 552 thousand tons of harmful substances were prevented from being emitted into the atmosphere.
Year-to-date, all hydroelectric, solar and wind power plants in Uzbekistan produced a total of 13 billion 220 million kWh of electricity. This means that "green energy’s ratio in total generation reached 22%.
This is equivalent to the power needs of 7.3 million households for 9 months or 5.5 million households for a year.
