The Uzcard payment system experienced a glitch today in the afternoon. Users reported that they were unable to make transactions via e-wallets and pay for services, including taxis and public transport.
First complaints surfaced on social media at 12:40 complaining they had to pay in cash.
The Unified All-Republican Processing Center reported that unscheduled maintenance work is ongoing in the system.
“In connection with this, temporary interruptions in ATMs, E-POS and POS terminals, international bank cards, and co-badging cards abroad are possible. Reportedly, there is also a glitch in the operation of the Uzcard website.
The company apologized for the temporary inconvenience and stressed that its personnel is striving to handle the problems and restore the stable operation of the system.
