The government has issued a resolution cutting the duties for movement of foreign heavy and large-sized vehicles across the territory of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Justice's Legal Information channel said.
The resolution has set the following rates for excess of total actual mass of a vehicle over the permissible one:
- In case the excess of the total actual weight over the permissible weight is up to 5 tons will be equal to 0.08 percent of BCU for 1 km of traveled distance;
- from 5 to 10 tons - 0.12;
- from 10 to 15 tons - 0.24;
- from 15 to 20 tons - 0.42;
- from 20 to 25 tons - 0.63;
- from 25 to 30 tons - 0.97;
- from 30 to 35 tons - 1.39;
- from 35 to 40 tons - 1.94;
- from 40 to 45 tons – 2.66;
- from 45 to 50 tons – 3.59;
- 50 tons and above - 4.22.
Also, it was envisaged that the duties for consideration of applications for the passage of heavy-duty and large-sized vehicles, and for approving the route and issuance of a permit will be calculated in the License automated information system as follows:
- up to 100 km - 54% of BCU (currently 222,480 soums);
Previously, these duties were set at USD 25 for up to 100 km and USD 0.11 for each subsequent kilometer.
