The aviation authorities of Uzbekistan and Russia reached an agreement on increasing the number of flights and expanding the geography of flights during negotiations in Moscow on July 21-22, the press service of the Ministry of Transport said.

Reportedly, the airlines of the two countries have received the permits to operate more than 1,000 flights per week making use of all destination cities. Currently, 310 regular flights are being operated weekly between the two countries.

The Ministry of Transport stressed that with the full use of the new quotas, the annual air throughput between the two countries may reach 16 million passengers. In 2024, 32.6 thousand flights were operated, with 4.1 million passengers carried.
