Tourist riverwalk is planned to be erected in the Uychi district of the Namangan province on 20 hectares, the press service of the provincial administration said.
The project near the hydroelectric power station cascade on the Naryn River was presented to Namangan province governor Shavkatjon Abdurazzakov.
It is planned to build multi-storey residential buildings, set up a sports ground, recreation area, swimming pool and camping area.
“The close location of the Naryn River and five large canals at a distance of 12 km from the Uchkurgan district, picturesque natural landscape, crystal clear and cool waters create enormous potential for the development of all areas of tourism in this area,” the Namangan province governor office stressed.
The 30-hectare tourist complex will host a water park, capsule rest rooms, attractions, a flower garden, an amphitheater, health routes, restaurants and a walking area with bridges.
In the Namangan, Mingbulak and Turakurgan districts, through which the Syr Darya River flows, it is also planned to build ecotourism recreation areas, as well as fisheries. Each project is estimated at 10-15 billion soums.
