The Uzbek-Indian bilateral military exercise: Dustlik (Friendship) - 2025 commenced at the Pune foreing training node, India, the Uzbek Defence Ministry said.
The exercise, which have been regularly organized since 2019, is reportedly aimed at developing and strengthening military cooperation between the two countries, and are held alternately in Uzbekistan and India every year.
In 2024, military servicemen from Uzbekistan and India exchanged experience at the Termez field training ground as part of the "Friendship - 2024" exercises.
Delegates of the military delegations of Uzbekistan and India attended the opening ceremony of the exercises, and recognized that the joint exercises served to enhance military ties between the two countries and to improve the knowledge, skills and experience of military personnel.
The joint exercises in cooperation will continue through April 28.
