Uzbekistan has allowed the import of Leapmotor models under certain conditions, the Agency for Technical Regulation and the UzTest center said.
Reportedly, repeated tests were conducted in a laboratory in Pskent, which yielded a positive result on April 14. In exchange for admission to the market, the following requirements were presented to Leapmotor:
- an official representative - a legal entity, a resident of Uzbekistan shall be appointed, who will eliminate the identified discrepancies in vehicles and reimburse damage to consumers;
- all the necessary documents shall be provided for the approval of the types of all vehicles imported into the country under the Leapmotor brand.
The company also undertook to study and evaluate the production processes and conditions at the factories that manufacture cars under this brand.
The acceptance of applications for Leapmotor certification in Uzbekistan was suspended due to violations identified in the C16 model. The level of electromagnetic interference created by this vehicle exceeds the permissible norm by 16 times.
