The National Cynological Center under the Customs Committee awarded 14 dogs serving in customs authorities in Tashkent and the provinces with a special badge for merit, the press service of the Committee said.
These are dogs of breeds as German shepherd, English cocker spaniel, Malinois, East European shepherd and Russian spaniel. In 2024, they helped to prevent the illegal trafficking of 337 kg of narcotics, almost 55 thousand units of psychotropic and potent drugs, 11 units of weapons, about 10 thousand cartridges, 24 kg of gunpowder, foreign currency in cash equivalent to almost 2.3 billion soums and more than 418 thousand packs of cigarettes.
While, five dogs of the National Cynological Center were awarded for outstanding performance at international and national competitions and exhibitions.
