Two men died under a snow mass on the Kamchik pass on Wednesday. This information was confirmed by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
A group of eight people went to the mountains for snowboarding. One of the tourists entered the restricted area to take a selfie, but slipped and fell into a snowdrift. The second tried to help him and also fell, they were covered by a snow mass, they died on the spot.
Their corpses were searched for by rescuers using special equipment and dogs, they were found immediately after the call, the Ministry of Emergency Situations noted.
A pre-investigation check is being conducted into the death of two people, said the spokesman to the Prosecutor General's Office, Khayot Shamsutdinov. A forensic medical examination has been appointed to establish the exact cause of death of the natives of the Fergana region (both aged 31).
