Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade Laziz Qudratov attended via conference call in the 3rd meeting of the working group on increasing the volume of two-way trade between Uzbekistan and Russia.
According to the Ministry of Investments, Industry and Trade, the parties comprehensively reviewed the current state of implementation of existing agreements between Uzbekistan and Russia in the fields of trade, industry, energy, transport and agriculture, and determined the next steps to expedite the implementation process.
In particular, in the first 10 months of this year, the volume of trade between the two countries increased by 20% and amounted to $ 9.7 billion. The list of products supplied by Uzbek manufacturers has increased by 68 new items.
The parties comprehensively reviewed the implementation of the Joint Action Plan to increase the volume of trade between Uzbekistan and Russia for 2024-2030, the main goal of which is to bring the trade figures of the two countries to $ 30 billion. In this context, the parties emphasized the importance of developing comprehensive measures, including the development of cooperation in the fields of industrial production, transport and agro-industry.
At the meeting, the parties voiced their readiness to further advance multifaceted relations and agreed on the dates for holding the next meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between Uzbekistan and Russia in Moscow by the end of this year.
