On the sidelines of the 19th summit of the International Organization of Francophonie in France, the Minister of Preschool and School Education, Khilola Umarova met with the owner of Kokoro lingua, Nathalie Lasslet, the press service of the International Organization of Francophonie said.

During the meeting, the parties discussed teaching of French to children aged 5-6 years using the innovative platform Kokoro lingua in Uzbekistan.

Following the meeting, an agreement was signed on free French language training in 12 kindergartens in Uzbekistan over the next year.

Khilola Umarova also held talks with the Director General of the language certification and testing organization France Education International, Olivier Brandouis. An agreement was reached on improving the qualifications of French teachers, training trainers, implementing a teacher exchange program, and introducing French language proficiency tests (DELF junior, DALF) in Uzbekistan.

While, Khilola Umarova also met with the rector of the University of Francophonie in Nice, Yann Librati, with an agreement signed between the ministry and the University of Francophonie on sending 200 Uzbek French teachers for a scholarship-based internship in France  in 2025.
